There is a writing table and padded leather chair in the center of the room.
An open book sits on the desk along with a quill pen and an ink well filled with blood.
You sit down in the comfortable chair and read the first page of the grimore.

In the dark of night, there is radiance for those who seek it.
I have seen such glowing gems in the many earthly realms,
other planes, and distant worlds I have visited.
